David Darling Big Bang

The beginning of the universe was much like the ASP playfair: a very hot, very dense group of bodies moving rapidly and slamming into one another. The start of ASP was a confused soup of matter, with all particles (I mean, people) trying to understand themselves and others. Like the universe, the ASP atmosphere soon cooled off. Matter eventually spread out, but formed into clusters of friends and classes. I am proud to be a part of the Astronomy cluster here at ASP. It is a cluster of late nights, sic pics, oodles of projects, sleeping in, crazy field trips, and great friendships.

Astronomy was my first choice for classes, and I have not regretted my decision. The astronomy resources at St. Paul's are incredible! It's a shame that we couldn't try out the new 0.7 meter telescope, but the other domes served our purposes just fine. Of course, these resources would be of no use without Doc, our wonderful teacher, and interns Macy and Brendan.

I have completed three Power Point projects accessible from the links in the upper left. Check out the other links for more information on the SPS astronomy program and the Big Bang.

Be sure to view some of my sic pics as well!
