ASP Astronomy 2005 started out like any other class and then the sleep deprivation kicked in. Being a part of this program has been extremely rewarding. It has taught me many things, such as the finer points of star spinning, power napping, and Oreo eating. Other attained skills I hold dear to my heart include polar aligning, cliff jumping, and the dance craze called the lunar rotation.

Hi, I'm Morgan Nevins and I attend Portsmouth High School. At first, when I was applying to the ASP, I was not sure which program I wanted as my first choice. I am so glad that I chose Astro because I cannot picture myself in any other class. Whether we are in class or in the domes, it's always a party.

Prior to ASP, I had considered pursuing astronomy in college, and now I know I want to expand my interests in the future. Thanks Doc, Brendan, and Macy for all your help this summer.

On this page, you will find the 3 major projects I've done this summer. My project topics include Venus, The Chandra X-Ray Observatory, and Dark Matter. You can have a look at each by clicking on the appropriate picture below. Hope you enjoy them! And remember, Space is Cool! Long live Dome 3 and the double barrel shotgun - hells yeah!
